synopsis
Keyholes Are For Peeping is a broad comedy that served as the cinematic swan song for onetime Jerry Lewis imitator and Duke Mitchell comrade Sammy Petrillo< (Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla). Here he plays Stanley Bebble, a fledgling marriage counselor living with his nagging mother (also played by Petrillo but voiced by director Doris Wishman) who sets up shop in a building where superintendent Phillip Stahl (Deadly Weapons) spends all of his time watching lovers through peepholes. That peeping experience is represented by footage from older Wishman films, making this an ingenious introduction to the fetishy oeuvre of the lady maverick of exploitation cinema and much wackiness ensues in this broad parody of adult movies.
