Tonight, we zero in on three bands that embodied distinct and quintessential '80s musical moments: LA rockabilly punk from X, enigmatic post-punk from Echo and the Bunnymen, and synth pop megahits from New Order. This episode also features Night Flight’s “Directions in Jazz” format, highlighting contemporary jazz acts like Quiet Storm queen Anita Baker, with a Spike Lee cameo in the video he directed for "No One in the World," alongside timeless greats like Duke Ellington.
