synopsis
Originally recorded on May 21, 1991, this uncut interview from Metalhead Video Magazine finds a candid Ronnie James Dio recounting his unlikely path from a small-town kid rehearsing in frozen barns to a defining voice of heavy metal. Dio reflects on leaving the bass behind to find his voice, drawing inspiration from James Brown and Sam Cooke, and the party from his first band Elf to Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and finally Dio.
