In Night Flight’s exclusive 1985 interview, virtuoso vocalist Robert Plant reflects on his post-Zeppelin solo career and opens up about the creative freedoms of going it alone. Plant discusses the evolution of his sound in the early ’80s with atmospheric ballads like “Big Log” and “In the Mood." “A vocalist shouldn’t be stuck in the mold of what people will or won’t accept,” he tells Lisa Robinson. “I’m a relatively complex person underneath.”
